One-lane closure scheduled for portion of Keneke Street in Kīlauea

A portion of Keneke Street in Kīlauea – from Kīlauea Street to Kahalou Street – will be closed Sept. 3-6, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The closure is necessary for road resurfacing work, according to the county of Kaua‘i Department of Public Works.

One lane will remain open to accommodate alternating traffic in both directions. Access will be provided for residents in the area.

The Department of Public Works advises drivers to make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary road closures, use alternate routes, and allow extra time to get to destinations.

During this time, no parking will be allowed in the work zones.  Flaggers will be positioned at the work zone to direct traffic.
