Kaua‘i weekly lane closures: Aug. 31 to Sept. 6

Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced weekly lane closures from Aug. 31 to Sept. 6.

In observance of Labor Day, on Sept. 2, there will be no lane closures or HOV/Contraflow Lane operations on this day. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.

All projects are weather permitting.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

KŌLOA (NIGHT WORK)

Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between milepost 3.5 to 4.5, on Sept. 3, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for guardrail repairs.

KŌLOA (NIGHT WORK)

Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between milepost 5.1 to 5.3, in the vicinity of Kahili Road, on Sept. 4, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for guardrail repairs.

KŌLOA (NIGHT WORK)

Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between milepost 6 to 7, in the vicinity of Maluhia Street, on Sept. 5, from 1 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. for grass trimming and guardrail clearing.

Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between milepost 12.2 to 13.2, in the vicinity of Halewili Road, on Sept. 3, through Sept. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass trimming.

‘ELE‘ELE

Lane shift on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) in the eastbound direction, in the vicinity of ‘Ele‘ele Road and Waialo Road, on Sept. 3 through Sept. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for sewer line installation.

LĪHUE TO HANAMAULU

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between milepost 0.78 and 2.5, in the vicinity of Kuene Road and Kapule Highway, beginning Sept. 3 through Sept. 6 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for sign installations.

LĪHUE (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kapule Highway and Kaua‘i Beach Drive, on Sept. 3 through Sept. 6, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for striping work.

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction, in the vicinity of Kaua‘i Beach Drive and the Wailua Golf Course, on Sept. 3 through Sept. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. for grass trimming.

KĪLAUEA TO PRINCEVILLE

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction, between milepost 23.8 to 26, in the vicinity of Kalihiwai Road and the Princeville Airport, on Sept. 3 through Sept. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass trimming.

KĪLAUEA TO PRINCEVILLE (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between milepost 24.4 to 27.9, in the vicinity of Kahiliholo Road and Ka Haku Road, on Sept. 3 through Sept. 6, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for cold planing and repaving.

Right lane closure on Halewili Road (Route 540) possible in either direction, between milepost 0 to 0.2, in the vicinity of Kaumuali‘i Highway, on Sept. 5, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for guardrail repairs.

KALĀHEO TO ‘ELE‘ELE

Right lane closure on Halewili Road (Route 540) possible in either direction, between milepost 0 to 3.8, in the vicinity of Kaumuali‘i Highway, on Sept. 4 through Sept. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass trimming and guardrail clearing.
