Kaua‘i Fire responds to apartment fire in Wailua

No injuries were reported following an apartment fire in Wailua this morning.

Firefighters responded to Plantation Hale Suites after a blaze was reported in one of the apartments. There were no occupants in the unit at the time of the fire at the time of the incident, however, crews did evacuate the building as a precaution.

The fire has since been extinguished and the incident is under control, and no other structures are threatened.

Fire officials remain on scene at this time. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
