Kaua‘i County announces Labor Day closures

In observance of the Labor Day holiday, County of Kaua‘i offices will be closed on Sept. 2.

Closures also include the following facilities on Sept. 2:

• all neighborhood centers;
• the Puhi Metals Recycling Center;
• the Reynolds Recycling HI5 Redemption Center in Līhu‘e;
• the Kekaha Landfill; and
• all refuse transfer stations.

Because the Waimea and Kapa‘a swimming pools are closed on Mondays, staff will observe the holiday on Sept. 3 and return on Sept. 4.

The schedule for residential refuse pick-up will remain unchanged. The Kaua‘i Bus will operate on its regular schedule on the holiday. Regular business hours for county offices and services will resume on Sept. 3.
