First installment of Kaua‘i real property taxes coming due

The first installment of real property taxes for the 2024-2025 tax year on Kaua‘i is coming up.

The first installment is due Aug. 20. Kaua‘i County officials report tax bills were mailed out on July 20.

Payments can be made online at https://kauairpt.ehawaii.gov, by mail, in person, or at the drop box located outside the Kapulē Building at the Līhu‘e Civic Center. Make checks payable to the Director of Finance.

No appointments are necessary to visit the Real Property Tax Collections Section. Office hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Failure to pay real property taxes in full by Aug. 20 will result in a 10% penalty, as well as 1% interest per month.
