Officials with the Kauaʻi County Ocean Safety Bureau (OSB) advise no swimming at Hanalei Bay until further notice due to a shark sighting.

OSB officials received a report of a possible 10-foot tiger shark sighted about 250 feet west of the Pavilion Lifeguard Tower on Tuesday morning.

As a safety precaution, OSB officials have posted warning signs and are monitoring the area.

Lifeguards will reassess the area tomorrow, July 10.
