Kapa‘a Bypass Road to temporarily close

Kapa‘a Bypass Road will be closed on Thursday to allow state crews to inspect the safety of the Kainahola Stream Bridge.
The closure will be in place from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Emergency vehicles will be allowed through the closure, as will local traffic to access property along Kapaʻa Bypass Road.
All other traffic will be routed to Kūhiō Highway.
The Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation will have crews at both ends of the road to help control traffic. Electronic message boards have been put in place.
