Lane closure in place on Kūhiō Highway near Hanalei Hill

A single lane closure of Kūhiō Highway between Hanalei Plantation Road and ‘Ōhiki Road is ongoing today till 3:30 p.m. and on Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Hawai‘i Department Transportation closed the lane for installation of soil anchors on the bottom of Hanalei Hill.

This closure is in lieu of the previously planned full intermittent closures that were canceled on Wednesday. Alternating traffic (contraflow) through the open lane will be allowed through the work area.
