County to open registration for youth Summer Fun Program on May 15

The County of Kauaʻi Department of Parks and Recreation says it will open registration for its 2024 Summer Fun Program in May 15 at 8 a.m.

Registration is open through the county’s website, https://recreation.kauai.gov/wbwsc/webtrac.wsc/SPLASH.html. The County of Kauaʻi Public Information Office released the following statement on the program on May 3:

The 2024 Summer Fun Program will run from June 17 to July 26, on weekdays, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except on holidays. It’s open to children 5 to 11 years old.

Program sites include the Kapa‘a, Līhu‘e, Kalāheo, Hanapēpē, Kekaha neighborhood centers, Anahola Clubhouse, and Kōloa Elementary School.

The cost of enrollment is $75 per child, and will include morning and afternoon snacks and drinks. Parents and guardians will be responsible to provide participants’ lunch meals.

Enrollment is limited and will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

An account is needed to register for the Summer Fun Program online. Officials recommend those without existing accounts create one before the registration opening. Anyone needing assistance accessing their account online may contact the neighborhood center in their community.
