Youth development org Tee First holding golf programs for Kaua‘i kids, teens this summer

Registration is now open for First Tee – Hawai‘i’s programming on Kaua‘i, at Kiahuna Golf Club in Poʻipū and The Ocean Course at Hōkūala in Līhu‘e.

First Tee – Hawai‘i is a youth development organization that helps kids and teens build their strength of character through golf. It’s one of 150 First Tee chapters across the United States and in six international locations, offering in-school and after-school programs.

“Trained coaches deliver the programs to kids and teens ages 7 to 17, helping build their
inner strength, self-confidence and resilience, preparing them for the future,” said Scott Reinhart of First Tee – Hawai‘i. “Using the game of golf as the platform, participants learn critical life skills to help them grow socially, emotionally and academically.”

Parents can register their kids aged 7 to 17 to participate at FirstTeeHawaii.org for the following
five-week and six-week sessions:

• Kiahuna Golf Club
  • Saturday mornings, June 1 – July 8, $75
    • Ages 7-9 from 9-10 a.m.
    • Ages 10-11 from 10:15-11:15 a.m.
      
• The Ocean Course at Hōkūala
  • Monday afternoons, June 3 – July 8, $90
    • Ages 7-9 from 3-4 p.m.
    • Ages 10-11 from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday afternoons, June 5 – July 10, $90
    • Ages 10-11 from 3-4 p.m.
    • Ages 12-13 from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
  • Thursday afternoons, June 6 – July 11, $90
    • Ages 14-17 from 3-4 p.m.
    • Ages 14-17 from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
