Update: Kaua‘i runaway teen returns home safely

7:14 a.m. April 23 update: Caleb Gonsalves returned to his family safely Monday night. No injuries were reported.

Original post: The Kaua‘i Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a runaway teen.

Caleb K. Gonsalves, 16, of Līhu‘e, was reported missing on April 17. He was last seen in the Līhu‘e area, wearing a gray hoodie jacket and a red baseball hat.

Gonsalves is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. He has a fair complexion, black hair and is of Portuguese descent.

He is known to frequent the Līhu‘e and Puhi areas.

Anyone with information about Gonsalves’ whereabouts is urged to contact KPD Dispatch at 808-241-1711. Those wishing to remain anonymous can provide information by calling Crime Stoppers Kaua‘i at 808-246-8300, submitting a tip at cskauai.org, or through the Crime Stoppers Kaua‘i P3 Tips Mobile App.
