Road closures scheduled for portions of Waipouli Road in Wailua March 14 to April 12

The County of Kaua‘i Department of Public Works has announced that portions of Waipouli Road in Wailua will be closed the weekdays of March 14 to April 12, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.

The department stated that closures are necessary for road resurfacing work, which is being completed by contractor Maui Kupono Builders.

Temporary full road closure will be necessary for portions of this repair. When possible, one lane will be used to accommodate alternating traffic in both directions.  Access to properties will be provided.

Please make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary road closures, use alternate routes, and allow extra time to get to destinations. During this time, no parking will be allowed in the work zones.  Flaggers will be positioned at both ends of the work zone to direct traffic.
