The Kaua‘i County Housing Agency, along with other state and county agencies, are providing free training opportunities in April for landlords and tenants to learn about the most current federal and state fair housing laws as part of National Fair Housing Month.

This year’s Fair Housing Conference will be conducted virtually via Cisco Webex Meetings as follows:

  • Fair Housing 101: 10 a.m. to noon April 4.
  • Fair Housing Post-Disaster: 10 a.m. to noon April 11.
  • Domestic Violence and Violence Against Women Act: 10 a.m. to noon April 18.
  • Case Studies & Ask the Experts: 10 a.m. to noon April 25.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s theme for this year’s Fair Housing Month is “Fair Housing: The Act in Action.” Experts from Housing and Urban Development, the Hawai‘i Civil Rights Commission and Legal Aid Society of Hawai‘i will present and answer questions regarding various topics during the weekly sessions.

If you are interested in attending one or all of the virtual trainings, register here.
