Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced weekly lane closures for March 2-8. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

PUHI TO KIPU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between Anonui Street and Kipu Road, beginning Sunday, March 3, through Friday, March. 8, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for excavation of existing asphalt, installation of base material and pouring of concrete.

KALĀHEO (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between milepost 10.7 and 11, in the vicinity of Kuli Road and Lauoho Road, beginning Sunday, March 3 through Friday, March. 8, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for storm drain installation and paving.

Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between milepost 12 and 15, in the vicinity of Halewili Road and Laulea Street, on Monday, March 4 through Friday, March. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting.

Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction between milepost 15 to 17, in the vicinity of Lele Road, on Monday, March 4 through Friday, March. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for shoulder grading.

Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) in the westbound direction between Halewili Road and Hanapēpē Road, on Monday, March 4 through Friday, March. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for sewer line crossing.

— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —

LĪHU‘E TO HANAMAULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between milepost 0.7 and 2.5, in the vicinity of Kuene Road and Kapule Highway, beginning Sunday, March 3 through Friday, March. 8, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for cold planing and paving.

KEALIA TO ANAHOLA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between Mailihuna Road and Aliomanu Road, on Sunday, March 3 through Friday, March 8, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for cold planing and paving.

ANAHOLA TO MOLOA‘A

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between milepost 16 to 18, on Monday, March 4 through Friday, March. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting.

KĪLAUEA TO KALIHIWAI (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction between Ko‘olau Road and the Princeville Airport, nightly from Wednesday, March 6 through Friday, March. 8, from 8 p.m. to 5 s.m. for installation of traffic counting loops.

KĪLAUEA TO PRINCEVILLE

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction between Ko‘olau Road and the Princeville Airport, from Monday, March 4 through Friday, March. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for tree trimming.

PRINCEVILLE TO HANALEI

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction between Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road, from Monday, March 4 through Friday, March. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for debris removal and hauling of slope material. Traffic will be alternated through the open lane.

— KUAMO‘O ROAD (ROUTE 580) —

WAILUA (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road (Route 580) possible in either direction between milepost 0 and 6, in the vicinity of Kūhiō Highway, on Saturday, March 2 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for grass cutting.

Single lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road (Route 580) in the vicinity of the Opaeka‘a Falls lookout, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, until further notice for slope stabilization.
