Feb. 25 update: North and west-facing shore surf has fallen below advisory levels
this morning.

Original post: The National Weather Service has issued a high surf advisory for north-facing shores on Kaua‘i and Ni‘ihau.

The advisory is in effect through 6 p.m. Sunday.

Along north facing shores, surf is 10 to 15 feet. Along west facing shores, surf is eight to 12 feet. Strong breaking waves and strong currents will make swimming dangerous.

Head all advice from ocean safety officials. When in doubt, don’t go out.
