Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announces lane closures for the week of Feb. 10-16. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

PUHI (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction between mile post 2.14 and 2.74 in the vicinity of Kipu Road, on Monday, Feb. 12 through Friday, Feb. 16 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for excavation of existing asphalt and pouring of concrete.

LĀWA‘I TO KALĀHEO

Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction between mile marker 10 to 14, in the vicinity of Akemama Road, beginning Monday, Feb. 12 through Friday, Feb. 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting.

KALĀHEO (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction between Kuli Road and Lauoho Road, nightly beginning on Sunday, Feb. 11 through Friday, Feb. 16 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for storm drain installation and paving.

KALĀHEO TO ‘ELE‘ELE

Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction between mile post 12 and 16, on Monday, Feb. 12 through Friday, Feb. 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for shoulder grading.

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction in the vicinity of Rice Street, on Saturday, Feb. 10 from 7 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. for installation of raised pavement markers.

LĪHU‘E TO HANAMAULU (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile post 0.7 and 2.5, in the vicinity of Kuene Road and Kapule Highway, beginning Sunday, Feb. 11 through Friday, Feb. 16 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for cold planing and paving.

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile marker 2.5 and 2.78 in the vicinity of Kapule Highway, on Monday, Feb. 12 through Friday, Feb. 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting.

LĪHU‘E TO WAILUA (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between North Leho Drive and Kuamo‘o Road, on Sunday, Feb. 11 through Friday, Feb. 16 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for restriping.

KEALIA TO ANAHOLA (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between Mailihuna Road and Aliomanu Road, on Sunday, Feb. 11 through Friday, Feb. 16, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for cold planing and paving.

KĪLAUEA

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between mile marker 23 and 26, in the vicinity of the Princeville Airport, beginning Monday, Feb. 12 through Friday, Feb. 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for tree trimming.

KĪLAUEA TO PRINCEVILLE

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between mile marker 25 and 28, beginning Monday, Feb. 12 through Friday, Feb. 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting.

PRINCEVILLE TO HANALEI

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction between Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road, from Monday, Feb. 12 through Friday, Feb. 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for debris removal and hauling of slope material. Traffic will be alternated through the open lane.

PRINCEVILLE TO HANALEI (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK)

Full closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) in both directions between Hanalei Plantation Road and Hanalei Bridge, nightly from Sunday, Feb. 11 through Friday, Feb. 16 from 11 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. for Hanalei Bridge deck replacement.

— KUAMO‘O ROAD (ROUTE 580) —

WAILUA (24/7 CLOSURE)

Single lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road (Route 580) in the vicinity of the Opaekaa Falls lookout, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, until further notice for slope stabilization.
