Have an extra pair of glasses or hear aid lying around? Donate to the Lions Clubs on Kaua‘i

All the Lions Clubs on Kaua‘i are participating in the Hawai‘i District’s Used Eyeglass and Hearing Aid collection on Saturday.

The members will be spread out across the island at the following locations: Kong Lung Center Kīlauea, Big Save Kapa‘a, Walmart, Longs Kukui Grove, Big Save ‘Ele‘ele.

The collection will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Members of the Lions Club will be onsite to accept donations.

“The donations will go to third world countries, where the network of Doctors and technicians are all in place,” Lions Club press release stated. “This is an ongoing Lions worldwide project.”

There are collection boxes in places of business all the time all over the island. This in-person collection happens only once a year, usually in January with coordination with the entire Hawai‘i District 50 of Lions Clubs.
