County crews work to clear ‘Ōma‘o Road in Kōloa blocked in both directions by downed tree

11:50 a.m. update: A portion of ʻŌmaʻo Road in Kōloa near the ʻŌmaʻo Stream Bridge is now open.

Original post: A portion of ʻŌmaʻo Road in Kōloa near the ʻŌmaʻo Stream Bridge is closed in both directions due to a fallen tree.

Kaua‘i County’s Public Works Roads Division is working to clear the roadway. Road closure signs have been placed in the area, and motorists are advised to use Maluhia Road as an alternative route.
