The Department of Motor Vehicles announces a new requirement to schedule Type 3 Road Tests has gone into effect as of Dec. 1.

Customers under age 18 must now complete their required driver’s education courses prior to scheduling a road test. When scheduling a road test, customers must provide their completed driver’s education certificate numbers and their driver’s education instructor’s certificate numbers for verification. The requirement to have a valid driver’s license permit prior to scheduling a test remains unchanged.

Existing appointments are not affected by this change.

To schedule a road test, please call 808-241-4242. All road test bookings are done exclusively by phone.
