Shuttle bus stop service to change in Kapa‘a

In a continued effort to improve public transportation services for the community, the Kaua‘i Bus has announced changes to its Route 60 Kapahi Shuttle bus stops in Kapa‘a.

Effective Monday, Nov. 20, Route 60 will no longer service two stops – the Mahelona Hospital Foyer and Kapa‘a High School Pavilion – as they have been replaced by three newly sheltered bus stops in nearby locations.

The three newly sheltered bus stops are on Kawaihau Road will be renamed as follows: Mahelona Hospital (formerly Mahelona Hospital Foyer), Kapa‘a High School (formerly Kapa‘a High School Pavilion), and Across Kapa‘a High School (a new shelter across from the Kapa‘a High School Pavilion stop).

“This change will create a more efficient schedule for Route 60 Kapahi Shuttle and increase the safety of many pedestrians in this busy location,” said Transportation Agency Executive Celia Mahikoa.
