Kaua‘i sewer credit applications accepted from Nov. 1 to Jan. 2

The Department of Public Works Wastewater Management Division will accept 2024 Sewer Credit applications, starting Nov. 1 through Jan. 2, 2024.  Qualified applicants are encouraged to apply online at https://connect.kauai.gov.  Customers will need to create an account to access the site. The application will be active on Nov. 1.

The 2024 Sewer Credit applications will also be mailed out to all residential sewer customers on or around the first week of November 2023.

Qualified sewer customers shall be granted a monthly credit of $24 per month for 2024.

To be eligible for the Sewer Credit program, customers must meet the following qualifications:

1. Currently receiving sewer service from the County of Kaua‘i;
2. Have a 2022 annual adjusted gross income that cannot exceed $50,000;
3. Must not be receiving sewer assistance payments from any organizations;
4. Must claim only one residence for the credit;
5. The dwelling unit for which you are claiming the credit must be your principal residence; and
6. Must be current on your sewer utility payments, including any sewer payment plan.

Existing customers already receiving a sewer credit for 2023 must submit a new application for 2024 to determine their continued eligibility in the Sewer Credit program.
