Police following lead indicating murder suspect on Westside of Kaua‘i

Kaua‘i police are following up on a lead that wanted fugitive Chris Santos may be located on the Westside of Kaua‘i.

Santos, who is considered armed and dangerous, is wanted in connection to a fatal shooting that occurred on Kahili Mountain Road on Sept. 7.

Out of an abundance of caution, police officers are stationed at schools in the area while investigators follow up on all leads.

School pickup and bus service will continue as normally scheduled. Updates will be posted as information is available.
