The 5th Circuit Court on Kauaʻi is seeking applicants for independent grand jury counsel.
Whenever a grand jury is impaneled, an independent counsel is appointed to advise the jury’s members regarding matters it will consider.
The chief justice of the Hawai’i Supreme Court appoints grand jury counsel for the four judicial circuits of the state, selecting someone licensed to practice law in the state who is not a public employee.
