Kaua‘i Humane Society to host adoption event in celebration of National Dog Day

Kaua‘i Humane Society, the only open-intake animal shelter on Kaua‘i, has partnered with Petco to host a pet adoption event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 26 in celebration of National Dog Day.

Interested pet-parents-to-be will have the opportunity to adopt dogs at these locations:

• Kaua’i Humane Society located at 3-825 Kaumualiʻi Highway in Līhuʻe.
• Petco located at 4454 Nuhou Street, Suite 601, in Līhuʻe.

In addition, Kaua‘i Humane Society is hosting a “Name Your Adoption Price” event through Aug. 27. All animals adopted this weekend will cost as much as the adopting family would like to pay.
