Lanes will be shifted to accommodate for the work, and Kawaihau, Hau‘a‘ala, and Mailihuna roads will experience temporary road narrowing. Additionally, during student pick-up and drop-off times, work will be minimized to accommodate Kapa‘a High School and the elementary schools.

Motorists are advised to expect brief and occasional delays and are asked to exercise caution and drive slowly when commuting through the work area.

The project is part of the construction of a peanut-shaped roundabout, sidewalks, paved shoulders and various other roadway updgrades to help improve the safety and operations of the five-way intersection. The project is expected to be completed in February 2024.

Questions or concerns can be addressed to Junard Mata of Grace Pacific at 808-694-9784.
