Kauaʻi County Department of Water crews are conducting emergency waterline repairs at 11 a.m. today (Aug. 16) on Peleke Street in Līhuʻe, which will require the roadway to be closed about 4 to 5 hours from Milikeleka Place to Aukele Street.

Motorists are advised to take alternate routes and adhere to road closure signs.

A water service shutdown is not anticipated at this time; however, customers are advised to prepare for a temporary outage during emergencies by storing water to meet their needs until water service can be safely restored.
