Kaua‘i County announces closures for Statehood Day

In observance of Statehood Day, Friday, Aug. 18, Kaua‘i County offices will be closed.

Closures also will include the following facilities:

• All neighborhood centers.
• Puhi Metals Recycling Center.
• Reynolds Recycling HI5 Redemption Center in Līhu‘e.
• Kekaha Landfill.
• All refuse transfer stations.
• Waimea swimming pool.

The schedule for residential refuse collection will remain unchanged.

Kaua‘i Community Recycling Services HI5 Redemption Centers in Kapa‘a and Kīlauea will be open. Kaua‘i Bus will be operating on its regular schedule on the holiday.

Regular business hours for county offices and services will resume Aug. 21.
