Motorcyclist critically injured in Tuesday crash
A Hanamāʻulu man remains hospitalized following a motorcycle crash on Tuesday.
According to a preliminary report, a 34-year-old motorcyclist was riding his dirt bike southbound on Hanamāʻulu Road at approximately 5:30 p.m. when he drifted off the roadway and struck an unattended parked vehicle. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Emergency responders transported the man to Wilcox Medical Center due to injuries sustained in the collision. He was later transported to Queen’s Medical Center, where he is in stable condition.
Hanamāʻulu Road was closed for approximately one hour while KPD’s Traffic Safety Section investigated. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
