UPDATE: Missing ‘Ele‘ele teen found, returned to family

10:58 a.m. June 28 update: The Kaua‘i Police Department has located and returned 15-year old Daisy Ogawa to her family.
Acting on a tip received from a Parents & Children Together Kaua’i representative regarding Ogawa’s whereabouts, KPD officers quickly responded to a residence located in Kapa’a and recovered her safely at approximately 6 p.m., on June 27.
Ogawa was returned to her family at the Kapa‘a Police Sub-station. She was reported as a missing runaway on June 13, 2023.
Acting Captain of the Investigative Services Bureau Kennison Nagahisa stated, “Thanks to the Kaua’i community we were able to complete three missing person cases within the last week. We also want to thank all our patrol officers for being diligent on the road and assisting our detectives.”

Authorities say 15-year-old Daisy K. Ogawa, was reported missing June 13. She was last seen in the ‘Ele‘ele area. Daisy is described as 4 feet tall, weighing about 130 pounds, with a fair complexion, straight brown hair and of Asian Filipino decent. She is known to frequent the Wailua or other areas in Kapa‘a.
