Local environmental groups Zero Waste Kaua‘i, Kaua‘i Climate Action Coalition and the Surfrider Foundation Kaua‘i Chapter – which form The Kaua‘i Climate Action Forum – will discuss commercial airlines’ carbon footprint during their next webcast.

“Post-pandemic tourism is nearing all-time highs, and we can’t ignore the carbon footprint left by airlines,” the Climate Action Forum said. “We’ll discuss the impact of air travel on Hawai‘i, how airlines can reduce their carbon footprints and how you can help.”

Speakers will include Gordon LaBedz of Surfrider Kaua‘i and Sari Pastore of Understory Alliance.
