The Salvation Army to host donation event in Līhu‘e April 21

Residents, businesses and other organizations can bring in unwanted or unneeded items for reuse on April 21 to the Kaua‘i Resource Center in Līhu‘e.

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center will be on-site to collect clothing, small furniture, children’s toys, books and shoes. Clothing and textiles do not need to be in good condition. Torn or stained clothing is okay.

Chemicals, eWaste, appliances or broken items will not be accepted.

The collection will be 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the resource center, located at 3460 Ahukini Road in Līhu‘e.

The Salvation Army encourages the public to check with their local thrift stores to see if they can take donations before bringing items to the Kaua‘i Resource Center.

Due to health and safety concerns, The Salvation Army requests that the public remain in their vehicles while on-site.

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center offers pick-up services to thrift stores and businesses. Call 808-241-4336 to schedule new service.
