The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced weekly lane closures for March 18-24. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

KALAHEO

Single lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) in the eastbound direction between mile marker 10.3. to 11.5, between Koloa Road and Hokua Road, on Monday, March 20 through Friday, March 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for Hawaiian Telcom utility pole relocation as a part of the Kaumuali‘i Highway Intersection Improvements project. Single right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) in the westbound direction between mile marker 13 to 15, in the vicinity of Laulea Street, from Monday, March 20 through Friday, March 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting and guardrail clearing.

— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —

WAILUA (24/7 CONDITION)

Right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapa‘a Bypass, for the Kuhio Highway Short-Term Improvements.

Single right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile marker 5.9 and 6.6, in the vicinity of Kapa‘a Bypass and Kuamo‘o Road on Monday, March 20 through Friday, March 24 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for guardrail installation and surveying.

WAILUA (NIGHT WORK)

Nightly two-lane closures of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in either direction between mile markers 5.9 and 6.6, in the vicinity of Kapa‘a Bypass and Kuamo‘o Road on Sunday, March 19 through the morning of Friday, March 24 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for the Kūhiō Highway Short-Term Improvements. Traffic will alternate in both directions through one open lane.

KEALIA TO ANAHOLA (NIGHT WORK)

Nightly single lane closures of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in either direction between mile markers 9.8 and 15, in the vicinity of Mailihuna Road and Aliomanu Road on Sunday, March 19 through the morning of Friday, March 24 from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. for paving.

KĪLAUEA

Right lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile marker 22 to 25, in the vicinity of Kaluamakua Place and Kalihiwai Road, from Monday, March 20 through Friday, March 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting and drain clearing.

PRINCEVILLE TO HANALEI

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) in the northbound direction between mile markers 1.1 to 2.3, in the vicinity of Ohiki Road, on Monday, March 20 through Friday, March 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for guardrail repairs.

HANALEI TO HA‘ENA

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction between mile markers 5 to 10, in the vicinity of Lumahai Beach Park and Ha‘ena State Park, on Monday, March 20 through Friday, March 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting and drain clearing.

— KUAMO‘O ROAD (ROUTE 580) —

WAILUA (NIGHT WORK)

Single right lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road (Route 580) in the westbound direction between mile marker 0 to 0.6, in the vicinity of Wailua Road, on Sunday, March 19 through the morning of Friday, March 24 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for paving.
