Registration open for adult, preschool swim classes at Waimea Swimming Pool

Registration for adult and preschool swim classes is available at the Waimea swimming pool at 9678 Haiki Road in Waimea.

The adult swim class is offered to those 18 years and older. The preschool program is open to children, ages 2 to 5. Registration is limited and will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Both classes are a 4-week, 8-class course.

Adult swimming lessons are designed to teach participants basic aquatic skills and swimming strokes. Classes will be offered at 10 a.m. or 11:30 a.m., Wednesdays and Fridays, from March 8 to March 31.

Participants in the preschool aquatics class must be accompanied by an adult. The class is designed to orient preschoolers to the aquatic environment, and teach them basic skills and water safety.

Preschool Aquatic classes will be offered at 10 a.m. or 11 a.m. and are scheduled for Wednesdays and Fridays, from April 5 to April 28.
