Kawaihau Road work rescheduled due to weather

The Department of Public Works and its contractor Maui Kupono Builders have rescheduled roadwork due to weather.

They are now announcing that portions of Kawaihau Road in Kapa‘a will be closed from March 2 to 16 on weekdays, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.

This one-lane closure of Kawaihau Road, from Kahuna Road to Hauaala Road, is necessary for road resurfacing work. 

Kaehulua Road will be worked on March 1.

Please make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary road closures, use alternate routes, and allow extra time to get to destinations. During this time, no parking will be allowed in the work zones.  Flaggers will be positioned at both ends of the work zone to direct traffic.
