Lane closures near Kōloa Elementary school Monday through Friday

Portions of Po‘ipū Road and Pa‘anau Road will be closed from Monday, Feb. 6 to Friday, Feb. 10, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

These periodic one-lane closures are necessary for improvements to pedestrian access to the school including road striping and sidewalk improvements, according to the County of Kaua‘i Department of Public Works and Pacific Concrete Cutting and Coring, Inc.

No road work will occur during the peak traffic times for school drop-off and pick-up. Drivers can expect brief occasional delays.

The speed limit is 15 mph near Kōloa Elementary school while school is in session.

This project is scheduled to be complete in February 2023. Dates and times are subject to change depending on weather and other factors.
