Hawai‘i Department of Transportation releases weekly lane closures

Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced weekly lane closures for the week of Jan. 28 to Feb. 3. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —

WAILUA

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the northbound direction between mile markers 5.9 and 6.6, in the vicinity of Kapa‘a Bypass and Kuamo‘o Road on Monday, Jan. 30 through Friday, Feb. 3 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for guardrail surveying and installation as a part of Kūhiō Highway Short-Term Improvements.

WAILUA (NIGHT WORK)

Nightly two-lane closures of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in either direction between mile markers 5.9 and 6.6, in the vicinity of Kapa‘a Bypass and Kuamo‘o Road on Sunday, Jan. 29 through Friday, Feb. 3 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for the Kūhiō Highway Short-Term Improvements. Two-way traffic will be maintained by contraflow of one northbound lane.

WAILUA (24/7 CONDITION)

Right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapa‘a Bypass, for the Kūhiō Highway Short-Term Improvements.

WAIKOKO

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction between mile markers 4.2 to 4.5, in the vicinity of Waikoko Point and Waikoko Bridge on Monday, Jan. 30 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. to survey slope work of the installed draped mesh.

PRINCEVILLE

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction between mile markers 0.49 to 1.15, in the vicinity of Ohiki Road and Hanalei Plantation Road on Monday, Jan. 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting on Hanalei hill.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

KALAHEO TO OMAO

Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) in the eastbound direction between mile marker 7.7 to 13.1, in the vicinity of Halewili Road and Omao Track from Monday, Jan. 30 through Friday, Feb. 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for grass cutting along banks.
