Portions of Po‘ipū Road and Pa‘anau Road in Kōloa on the South Shore of Kaua‘i will be closed from Jan. 23 to Feb. 3, on weekdays, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The periodic one-lane closures, announced by the County of Kaua‘i Department of Public Works and Pacific Concrete Cutting and Coring, Inc., are necessary for improvements to pedestrian access to the school, including road striping and sidewalk improvements.

No road work will occur during the peak traffic times for school drop-off and pick-up. County officials say to expect brief occasional delays. As a reminder, the speed limit is 15 mph near Kōloa Elementary while school is in session.

This project is scheduled to be complete in February 2023.
