Vidinha Stadium track and field to close Jan. 17 to Jan. 27
Vidinha Stadium track and field in Līhuʻe will be closed from Tuesday, Jan. 17 to Friday, Jan. 27.
The closure is necessary to conduct temporary repairs to the track, according to the County of Kaua‘i Department of Parks and Recreation, which announced the pending closure this week.
“We thank the public for your patience as we undergo these necessary short-term repairs,” said Parks Director Pat Porter. “The repairs are a temporary measure to prolong the continued use of the track and provide a safe surface for track users, including the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation and general public, until future work to replace the entire track can be done.”
The Vidinha Stadium track and field is expected to reopen to the public on Monday, Jan. 30.
Those with questions may call the Department of Parks and Recreation at 808-241-4460.
