County green waste sites recycling old Christmas trees

Christmas trees are accepted for recycling daily at the green waste drop-off areas at County of Kaua‘i refuse transfer stations and the Kekaha Landfill.

A drop-off point for the trees is also located at Kaua‘i Nursery and Landscaping on Kaumuali‘i Highway in Puhi seven days a week. Trees can be loaded on to the truck parked in the KNL driveway. They must be bare and free of flocking, tinsel, and ornaments when they are brought to all recycling locations.

Transfer stations are open from 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. and the landfill is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. County green waste sites are closed during inclement weather.
