The Kaua‘i Police Department teamed up with the Līhu‘e Target store and the friends of the Children’s Justice Center for this year’s “Shop with a Cop” to help spread holiday cheer to 48 local children and their families.

KPD worked with partnering agencies to identify needful families with children under 17 years old. The children enjoyed a pepperoni and cheese pizza party courtesy of the men and women of the Kaua’i Police Department. They were given a $100 gift card provided by the friends of the Children’s Justice Center to shop with a Kaua‘i Police Officer.

“We are so thankful and excited to participate in a positive experience with our island Keiki and hopeful that our children will develop fond memories and trust with our Kaua‘i police officers,” said Bryson Ponce, Kaua‘i Police Department Assistant Chief.
