Traffic Advisory: Expect delays on portion of Maluhia Road Nov. 28 due to paving

One lane on a portion of Maluhia Road in Kōloa is scheduled to close on Nov. 28, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., for asphalt paving work, according to the Kaua’i County Department of Public Works.

Brief traffic delays may occur during this period. Motorists are advised to plan accordingly and to follow all traffic control signs and personnel.

As a reminder, Ōma‘o Road is a narrow residential road that is not intended to be used as a detour route and not designed for high volumes of traffic or truck traffic. The speed limit is 25 mph for the entire length of Ōma‘o Road. Through trucks are prohibited on Ōma‘o Road for the duration of this project.

The work is being done by Hiilawe Construction and Goodfellow Bros.
