Brush fire at Kauaʻi Coffee extinguished by firefighters on Monday

With the assistance of personnel from Kaua‘i Coffee, Kauaʻi firefighters navigated through coffee fields on Monday afternoon to find and extinguish a small brush fire in Kalāheo.

The blaze, about 100 by 600 yards, was reported shortly after 4 p.m. It was located in a wooded area south of the Kakela Makai subdivision.

The fire was put out and the scene was cleared at about 6:50 p.m. No injuries were reported, and no structures were damaged, according to the Kauaʻi Fire Department.

Firefighters with the Kalāheo and Kōloa fire stations and personnel from Kaua‘i Coffee responded.

The cause of the fire is undetermined.
