Firefighters extinguish small brush fire at golf course in Līhuʻe

A small brush fire Puakea Golf Course in Līhu‘e was quickly put out Saturday night by Kauaʻi Fire Department firefighters.

No injuries were reported, and no structures were threatened.

Firefighters from Līhuʻe and Kapaʻa were dispatched to a brush fire reported near Nau Place in Līhu‘e shortly before 6:50 p.m. on Nov. 5.

According to a preliminary report, fire personnel discovered a 30-by-30-foot brush fire at the golf course. With the assistance of golf course staff, firefighters gained access through the golf course and quickly extinguished the blaze.

The cause of the fire is undetermined.
