Lane closure scheduled for portion of Olohena Road in Wailua

Part of a Wailua roadway will be closed this week.

A portion of Olohena Road near Kamalu Road will be closed from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 13-14, weather permitting. The one-lane closure is necessary to allow Hawaiian Telcom to conduct vegetation maintenance work on utility lines.

Flaggers will be at both ends of the closure to assist motorists through the work zone.

Motorists are encouraged to make appropriate arrangements to accommodate the road closures, use alternate routes, follow all road signs, drive cautiously through the work zone and allow extra time to get to their destinations.
