Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced weekly lane closures for Oct. 8-14. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

KŌLOA

Roving single lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction between mile markers 5.4 and 9.1, vicinity of Kahili Road and Upa Road, Monday, Oct. 10, through Friday, Oct. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for grass trimming around guardrails.

— RICE STREET (ROUTE 51) —

NAWILIWILI

Single right lane closure on Rice Street (Route 50) in the northbound direction between the Royal Sonesta Kaua‘i Resort and Mokoi Street on Wednesday, Oct. 12, through Friday, Oct. 14, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a route improvement survey. — KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —

LĪHU‘E

Right lane closure possible on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in either direction in the vicinity of Rice Street on Tuesday, Oct. 11, through Friday, Oct. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for pothole patching.

WAILUA (24/7 CONDITION)

Right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapaa Bypass, for the Kuhio Highway Short-Term Improvements.

KAPA‘A (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile markers 8.9 and 12, Wailua Alternate to vicinity of Kamalomaloo Stream, Saturday, Oct. 8, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for guardrail cleaning and grass cutting.

KEALIA TO KĪLAUEA

Roving right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile markers 10.4 and 24.4, Kamole Road and Kahiliholo Road, Monday, Oct. 10, through Friday, Oct. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting.

KĪLAUEA

Full intermittent closures on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) of approximately 5 minutes between Kapuna Road and Wailapa Road on Monday, Oct. 10, through Friday, Oct. 14, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. to spray joint sealant on the highway. Crews will flush traffic for 20 minutes between each closure.

— KUAMO‘O ROAD (ROUTES 580) —

WAILUA

Right lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road (Route 580) in the northbound direction between Kahawai Place and Pa‘ako Street on Monday, Oct. 10, through Wednesday, Oct. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. tree cutting.
