The list of weekly road and lane closures for the week of Sept. 24-30 is out. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

1) KŌLOA

Roving single lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction between mile markers 3.8 and 9.1, vicinity of Pu‘uana Road and Upa Road, Monday, Sept. 26, through Friday, Sept. 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for grass trimming.

— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —

1) LĪHU‘E TO WAILUA

Right lane closure possible on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in either direction between mile markers 3 and 6, vicinity of Kauai Beach Drive and Kuamo‘o Road, on Monday, Sept. 26, through Thursday, Sept. 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass and tree cutting.

2) WAILUA (24/7 CONDITION)

Right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapa‘a Bypass, for the Kūhiō Highway Short-Term Improvements.

3) KAPA‘A

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile markers 6.6 and 8.9, Kapa‘a Bypass and Wailua Alternate, Monday, Sept. 26, through Thursday, Sept. 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for tree and grass cutting.

4) KEALIA

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the northbound direction between mile markers 9.8 and 10, Mailihuna Road and vicinity of Kealia Beach Park, Monday, Sept. 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. for spall repair on the Kapaa Stream Bridge. Alternating traffic will be contraflowed in the open lane.

5) KĪLAUEA

Shoulder closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) east (Lihue) bound between Ho‘okui Road and Kahili Makai Street on Tuesday, Sept. 27, through Friday, Sept. 30, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for clearing of vegetation around high voltage lines.

6) HANALEI

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction between mile markers 1 and 3, vicinity of Hanalei Bridge and Mahimahi Road, on Monday, Sept. 26, through Friday, Sept. 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for guardrail repair.

7) WAIKOKO

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction between mile markers 3.9 and 4.4, vicinity of Waikoko Bridge, Monday, Sept. 26, through Thursday, Sept. 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for tree and grass cutting and debris removal.
