Posted September 1, 2022, 9:24 AM HST

Update: Road resurfacing work on Papalina Road in Kālaheo has been rescheduled. The times and dates for the work are now from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Sept. 2-8. Dates and times are subject to change depending on weather and other factors.

Original story: Portions of Kālaheo will be closed Sept. 6-8, weekdays, weather permitting, to allow for necessary road resurfacing work.

One-lane closures will occur on Papalina Road, from Pu‘u Road near the Kukuiolono Golf Course to Kaumuali‘i Highway, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

With school in session, no work on Papalina Road will occur during the peak traffic times for school drop-off and pick-up.

Make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary road closures, use alternate routes, and allow extra time to get to destinations. During this time, no parking will be allowed in the work zones. Flaggers will be positioned at both ends of the work zone to direct traffic.
