Alessi Hartigan Casting is coming to Kaua‘i to conduct an open casting call on Saturday, Aug. 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the War Memorial Convention Hall in Līhu’e for an Apple TV+ series starring Jason Momoa.

Yenedakine, or Chief of War was co-written by Momoa, an epic saga about the unification and colonization of the Hawaiian Islands set to premiere on Apple TV+. The show is based on the true story of Ka‘iana, set back in the Hawaiian Kingdom at the turn of the 18th century, HNN reported on March 23.

In an email exchange with Kaua‘i Now, the casting agency said they would love to invite all locals to join the call so that they might be considered for paid roles. “We are so excited to bring this project to Kauai.”

Alessi Hartigan has cast talent for various productions from movies and television to commercials, music videos, and web specials.

The production will film on Oʻahu, Maui, Kauaʻi and Hawaiʻi Island throughout the fall. Those 18 and up are welcome to apply and must be current Hawai‘i residents. Those who are unable to attend this weekend’s casting event can register for background work at Alessihartigancasting.com

No experience is necessary.
