Three Kaua’i residents died this week due to COVID, the county announced Thursday, Aug. 18, during its weekly info briefing.

One male was in his 80s and not hospitalized, one male was in his 60s and also not hospitalized, while a female in her 90s who was hospitalized also died.
Kaua’i’s seven-day case average now stands at 17, down from 23 a week ago.
