Lane Closures Set for Sections of Kapa‘a Aug. 22-26

The Department of Public Works and Grace Pacific LLC., announced that portions of Mailihuna Road, Hau‘a‘ala Road, and Kawaihau Road will be closed from Aug. 22 to Aug. 26, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The intersection of Mailihuna Road, Hau‘a‘ala Road, and Kawaihau Road will experience temporary traffic shifts and temporary traffic control plans will be in place.

These closures are necessary for clearing and grubbing work, roadway excavation, and sidewalk construction.

No road work will occur during the peak traffic times for school drop-off and pick up.

Motorists are encouraged to allow for extra travel time when driving near the work area and follow all construction traffic controls. Please exercise caution and drive slowly when commuting through the work area.
